come up tomorrow. It rained. Got into a car with Theo & he began talking about Arno and Tessie Turpin who were married the other day after Tessie got a divorce from Morley. She has been in South Dakota over six months and Theo & Meta and all the family have befriended her and stuck up for her and didn't know a word about Arno being in it till Labor Day. Of course they are all broken up, and have to stand the circus while Arno and Tessie are traveling in "The South" and presumably enjoying life. It's pretty unfair, seems to me. Perused maps and a bunch of new magazines &c. till 8:30 & then had supper. Suspicious of neuralgia. Accts. & "Zozie", later. Sept. 25 Sunday Cloudy morning - new magazines &c. Sunny p.m. Edith came up for a little visit & then went over to Chattie's with me for my raincoat. I stopped at Lura's to supper, going back, and a nice little chat. Sept. 26 Monday Pouring rain this morning. Shopped and lunched at White Kitchen this noon (don't like it). Mr. Rogers died today. Played Flinch after supper but had neuralgia all evening Sept. 27 Tues. and an awful night of it - no sleep for the sleepy and such aches and pains - quite last years's style. Didn't go to sleep till
