Apr. 18. Mon. Very busy, but of course Gilmore must needs move (for the last time this season) to 216. The big Bradstreet study room. Staid till about 7 and helped get things in the right places. Apr. 19. Tues. Finished moving (but not settling) today. Mother came down and we went to Howe & Rogers at noon and selected carpets for both parlors of Mr. McCabe. It snowed in the afternoon! Mary and Nelly came over in the evening as Mary goes to St. Louis Thursday, to the Exposition, to be gone all summer. It was a regular blizzard when they left. One cd. hardly see!! Apr. 20 Wed. Snowed all night and really all day. Just like the middle of January - everyone staid down to lunch (I at Sibley's) Mrs. Andrews came, and of course we talked all the evening, as usual. Apr. 21 Thurs Sunny and fine this morning (but snow on the ground) Mother and Mrs A. spent the day at Missionary meeting & Mrs. A. went home at 4:30. I lunched at Sibley's with Papa. Tonight Mama went to Mabel's kindergarten show at the East High School and took Elsie Caring and I went to cooking school and made some very delicious veal loaf. Apr. 22 Fri. Fine day. Came home and lunched with Mother - J.W.C. has an awfully bad cough. Papa read aloud to us tonight.
