Feb. 20. Mon.
Pleasant. Went to the "Y" to lunch with
Helen. Took the lantern slides for her lecture.
Feb. 21. Tues.
She was delighted with them. Felt very rocky today - (Tues)
N.Y.
Feb. 22. Wed.
Busy morning, but they did manage a half holiday this p.m. I went down
& Dr. Scranton's (in the Power's block
& he put in a new "porcelain cap" fitting when the gold one came out.
Thro' about 4. Then I went to Cro'nest but
they weren't home. Walked back via the tobaggan slide, closed now on acct. of
accidents. Flinch tonight.
Feb. 23. Thur.
Lunched at Sibley's temporary tea
room for the last time today (with
Papa). It closes Saturday so they can tear
down the bldg. Went around to the "Y" tonight. Delegates arriving.
Feb. 24. Fri.
Very busy & J.W. kept
me till after six when I dashed home, got into a silk gown and back to
Colonial hall soon after 7 for the "Y" banquet. Sat
between
Charlotte & Lillian & opposite Mrs. Bridges &
Mrs. Briggs, with Mrs. Veach at the end.
We had quite a nice time but I was disappointed in the service and a little
in the speakers. Met Mr. Strafer
(of 3rd Pres.) afterward. A woman fainted down in the cloak room
and it was quite exciting. Of course we were the last ones out - with
Helen - Miss Vogel was
"present" & Miss Huchinson
