Oct. 17 Mon.
Still lovely. J.W. went to the train
twice for the J.G's - who arrived late from
St. Louis. The consequence was everything was late and I didn't finish till 6:15. Wrote half the
evening. Zozie sick this a.m. but seems all right
tonight - now "Flinch".
Oct. 18. Tues.
A beautiful day. Rode up to Cro'nest at
5:30 and had a nice chat with Harry who
is reading Bernard Shaw. Char
& Claude
were dressing to go to Charlie Robinson's function.
Lovely moonlight outside. Saw Emma's
presents. A latish supper and evening at home.
Oct. 19. Wed.
Another lovely day. Rode round to Moshers's
tonight but Mrs. M. wasn't home, so went
on to Davises. A man from the Rescue
Mission was cleaning the front steps, and I went in the back way.
Helenhad just come in from a drive with
Dr. Goler, after one with Mrs. Armstrong
("John") to Pittsford. Had a nice little chat
& Chattie came in and I went off into
the dark on
Diana. Emma Steinhausen and
"Nick" Karle were married tonight, over at
Meta's & Mother went.
Nellie Mac came
over and we played Flinch, afterwards.
Meta sent over ice cream & wedding cake
&c. It was a lovely night - we saw them start off.

Lura started for N.Y. this
morning and so did Char. It was a fine
morning but
