the Article I wrote about "St. Helena" but only 2 of my pictures! It read better than I hoped and Papa was really very complimentary. " came for Nell. May 25 Wed. Very warm and fine. Met Mr. Penfield today. He is very pleasant and rather good looking and "speaks up". He was painting decorations (sketches) for the Meiss cafe - in Claude's office. Tonight we went out to Nellie Mac's to play flinch. Lura, Mrs. B, Laura & Mrs. Penfield & I, Mrs. Mc A. didn't come in! Lura and I, as partners won 3 straight games. Then we had ice cream - two dishes a piece - and came home - rather late - in most gorgeous moonlight. May 26 Thurs. Lunched at Sibley's. Met Chattie & shopped with her she said very nice thinks about the Recreation
article and was going to write me if she hadn't met me (I wish she had!) We cooked "iced beverages" tonight - very appropriate. It rained hard in eve.
