Came home in the special car with Miss
Dinehart & the orphans. and helped carry a "wooly arrival" and a
piano! After dinner went down to Flack's
in the almost rain, made a call, saw the Christmas things &c.
And then started to walk up to the "Y" - but it snowed so hard I rode. It turned into quite a blizzard. I helped serve
coffee and sandwiches, talked to Helen,
Cristine
&
Miss Babson and had supper, intending to stay for the evening -
but it was such a blizzard (& with no rubbers) that when
Miss
Andrews &
Mr. Hall offered to take me home in their carriage, I
accepted. Put on my wrapper & loafed read upstairs.
Jan 3. Tues.
Cold day. Hamilton phoned me this morn-
ing that Addie McIntosh had come, so I went over to the
"Y" and had lunch with her and the Davises and Mrs. Hoyt. She was the same as ever
had been down to Belle
's with Mrs. Ellis, and had great stories of
the frozen north. Finally her "beau" a young
