Tues. May 31
Still some rain. So much so I couldn't go for my wheel, Mrs. Davis phoned for me to come up and
hear the Skipper's letter. He had
got to the Pointe and
Jack
inquired especially for me - and "the mousetrap did it"!
He also added, for my satisfaction - that he was in long trousers! (He
wore a byke suit last summer -!) and looked fine!! Tonight I went
with Nellie Mac. to her the new
Lyceum Stock Co. in the "Liars" - It was
very well done, too, but Louise Drew
is certainly "plain" & the leading man a sort of a
"Dickey-Davis" affair & Nellie Thorne a doll.
Wed. June
1.
It was pleasant & warm. Lunched with Papa down town & then went up to
Hillman's & got my wheel - Herb
. was there and walked down with me & led it. He's a
pleasant - spoken - man"! Tonight I took to car to Davis's and had tea there & heard
all the Skipper's letters &
one from Kate (mentioning the
Recreation
article) and we walked over to Frank's & Lillian gave us cream pie and soon. Met Dr.
Daly (Miss) a dazzling blonde, who is to room in
Helen's room this summer (Helen
goes Tuesday) A lovely night, but I was tired & sleepy when I
got home.
