new ones - Miss Long, Miss Rotchford, Zaza & I. Made omelette, soup &c. Nice photograph exhibit upstairs. Apr. 1 Fri. It rained to-day - poured - & yesterday too It is Good Friday and Papa and I went to Eggleston's and I had a fish dinner. Then I called on Nellie Mac. Mother got a pretty new blue challi dress. Read all the evening, magazines &c., a little flinch. Apr. 2 Sat. Rain & snow both today. JW. presented Mrs. JG. with a mahogany desk and me with the rug in his room. I'm going to have it put right into ours. Shopped. Sibley's new store is "all right". Made Stocks tonight. 2 Easter ones for Mother. Apr. 3. Sun. Easter. Bright, but cold - (snow this morning. Went over to Davis's but didn't stay long. Chattie has bad cold. Walked down to Alexander St. with poor little Miss Peck - who adores Helen but can't influence her in the least. Stopped to say "Goodbye" to Cousin Harriette

 & Mrs Rich, too, upstairs & Con and "Giles" downstairs. Walked home. Apr. 4 Mon. and Apr. 5 Tues. Fine Spring weather at last. Began thinking of bicycles & Spring hats. JWC. very gracious to-day. Complimented my clothes! I was dressed up in my Challi waist, bead &c. for Meta's luncheon to Lulu Graves - which was very nice and enjoyable
