July 2 Sat. Fine today. Lovely clouds. Late to lunch, as usual, for Saturday. Trudy and I went down to the YWCA vacation house at the Tone Farm via. the Summer- ville car & walked down a road, stopping to see a cabbage machine planting. Explored the old house which is most unique with 3 or four different sets of upstairs &c. ate cherries on the piazza with Miss Dickens and then strolled across the fields & rail roads &c. to the beach. Passed the "Trinity Cadets" (choir boys) field day on the way. Sat a long time on the shore. The clouds and sky and Lake were most beautiful. The water is very high. In the distance it rained. Walked back in time to see the Trinity boys drill at their little "Camp Ontario" and go to their "frugal meal". Then had a game of billiards with Trudy and of pool with Miss Ehrhart before supper. Also saw a rainbow. After supper took a long walk to Summerville, via. the rail road, road. Willowbank & the White City &c. And saw the Flacks depart for the Islands on the North King. Walked out on the dock and sat awhile watching the Kingston come in. It was quite cool coming home, where we arrived about 10 or so. July 3. Sun. Perfect morning, wrote &c &c Char & "Carlie" called and were here when the folks got home. Later Claude came too. Late this p.m. Trudy & I went down to Seneca Park and walked around & loafed & talked. Late supper
