thro' the Highland Ave. path to Monroe
Ave. Stopped a minute on Davis's piazza to read Helen's last letter - only Mrs. D. and Miss Amos were there.
After dinner rode out to South Park by
the feeder path and listened to the band concert till it was over
then went and sat by the river till sundown. It certainly was a most
perfect day. Late supper.
Jun. 20. Mon.
Still lovely, but cooler. Still used up too. Called on Lillian's sister, Mrs.
Stevenson
this evening & was invited to dinner Wednesday.
Mrs. Davis and Charlotte were there part of the time.
Ernest Millard and
Jun. 21 Tues.Marie Woodworth were married at
St. Peter's at 7:30 tonight. Mother and I
went, in our "glad rags". It was very pretty. Dr.
Millard married them (assisted by Dr.
Nelson, of course) Walked to the corner with Edith
& Con, and "George
" joined us.
Mother looked very pretty in her new blue silk shirt
waist suit. I went to the
Lyceum later. Lura,
Mrs. B., Frank, Lillian,
Mrs. Stevenson & Nellie
Mac. When it was out at 10:30, everyone was amazed to
see pouring rain. We all managed to get home - after various vicissitudes
- and we were all more dressed up then usual!
Nellie wore white and her
"Willie
" was long coming.
Jun. 22. Wed.
Another fine day. Went to Lillian's to
a very nice little dinner - the theatre crowd
