Mar. 2. Thurs. J.G. went to N.Y. early this morning. Busy and tired. That's getting as monotonous as the "real boys" "brite & fare"! Mar. 3. Fri. The Dentist's again. It was the Real Thing today & hurt "quite some" during the excavation. The rest of the process isn't a circumstance to having gold hammered in! Mar. 4. Sat. Pres. Roosevelt's real Inauguration Day. Went to the "Y" at six & had a nice chat with Helen. In the evening went with Edith to the Lyceum & we sat next to Charlotte & "George
". Saw Ibsen's "When We Dead Awake" with Fred'k Lewis. It was pretty awful. I had to hold Chattie's hand. The last scene - in the mountain tops - was magnificent. Mar. 5 Sun. Wrote a long letter to Con this morning. Loafed & read this p.m. went over to Chattie's at 5. Helen not home. Mrs. D. sick with grippe upstairs. Lillian & Frank there. Had nice visit down- stairs alone with Chattie. Supper - Mrs. Webster & niece called. Home about 8:30. Mar. 6 Mon. to Mar. 9. Thu. Claude home Monday. Char Tues, both had fine times but "glad to be back" Work awfully hard nowadays (JW is awful!) Wed. staid till 9:40 - no supper Thu. lunched at new place on East Ave. with Dr. Daly. Mar. 10 Fri. Went with Mother to "County Chairman" tonight. We both enjoyed it immensely - very funny!
