pretty bad - really collapsed after her company went. After supper went to Lura's and played Flinch a little while with her and Mrs. Penfield. It rained, but I rode my wheel home. We have a new roomer. A Mr. Rafter from down in Pennsylvania. Aug. 20 Sat. Rainy morning and dubious afternoon, but I started for Conesus as per plan. Papa went to the station with me. Read Kipling, going down. It looked better at Lakefieldville. The usual Saturday crowd on the boat. Sat in the bow and enjoyed it. Saw Howie Thompson and Hi. Rogers in a launch. It was practically dark when I got to the Wilkinson dock. Frank Willard met me and we rowed down in a rough sea. Mate, Dem, Charles and Rae Willard (who was here Wednesday) were waiting. Also a good supper and the lights and the fireplace looked "homey". Mate has her old piano here and we had music and much talkee-talk tonight - till late, as usual. Aug. 21. Sun. A nice long sleep in the "blue room". A fine day. They say I brought good weather It has been horrid for a week.
