There were not many people there but nearly all who were complimented the Penfield decorations. Claude was out to dine last night and had tea with Miss Sibley and

Rogers - the baritone matinee - hero man. We rode back about noon. It was pleasant tho' rather hot. I found Edith on the piazza composing a letter to the Man! (It was good - she read it to me) I was very tired and rested half an hour before dinner (in Edith's white Jap. slippers!) Just dozed off, I think. After a delicious dinner we took a walk and later a ride - out to Pittsford on the new trolley - and to the pony-farm - to see the dear little pony-colt - only about 20 lbs! It certainly was a dear and so were the older ones. We loafed a bit when we got home - and had a picked-up supper - and Edith played to me a long time on her piano. We both felt a bit the worse for wear! May 30 Mon

Decoration Day. A bit of sun when I first woke up - but when we got up (about 8) the rain had begun & it lasted practically all day! The parade had to be put off even. Before breakfast we got an inkling
