Mar. 26 Sun. "Showery" expresses it - but mostly sun- shine till noon. Floss is in Buffalo today! I took Myrtle & Charlie pictures with Zo & Zenda (their camera). Took a long walk - way up West and Chili Ave. way. After dinner loafed all the p.m. & read also "rested", lunched and - wrote. Ate fudge! Mar. 27 Mon. Busy day "catching up". Went to Miss Deilman
's with Mother's challi tonight. Home in evening. Mar. 28 Tues. Nice day. Mary
was in this p.m. Went to hear Annie Russell in "Jimmy the Carrier" tonight. It was very enjoyable, quite different, tho' from her usual plays. She reminded me of Maude Adams in the third act - in the attic. I was disappointed in her husband, Oswald Yorke, but he had rather a brute of a character. Mar. 29-30 Wed & Thur. Uneventful, except it got hot. 86 on Thurs ! We went right into summer "KerFlop". Mar. 31. Fri. Not quite so hot - and fine. This noon went over to "The Waldorf" for lunch and then took a long walk - out University Ave. across Mer- riman & down East Ave. Saw JWC's building operations. He's moving and tearing down houses and barns. "George
" showed me the flower garden and Jno. Pike too. The Crisfield's were moving. J.G. has his big auto out. J.W. came home on the Empire. I finished early and went over to the new Sibley Building & bought a book for Chattie's birthday. Edward
was just in & showed me thro' the building - very fine
