Mon. May 2.
Rode my wheel to the office for the first time.
Miss Crossen is finishing up my shirt waists, so my summer
wardrobe is about in shape.
Claude came home from
Castile. He has decided not to let them offer him the
Cornell Professorship, which Mr. Miller say they
are ready to do.
Tues. May 3.J.G. and J.W.C. are both busy deciding what to do about the new Main
Street building. They are going to let it to Denniston &
Co.
(Crump's firm) and begin at once - probably
5 stories. Went to Sibley's to lunch and
to Lura's this evening (rather late) to play
flinch with Laura
and Nellie Mac. We talked " The
Lakes" and ate some of Mrs.
Baker's cookies and I came home on "Diana".
