Helen & Hamilton called this p.m. & walked down with me. Apr. 23 Sat. Pleasant and quite warm. Miss Flack invited me to lunch with herself and sisters at Sibley's. We had quite a jolly time. An April shower as we came out. Our new office is very pleasant - more so than I thought it could be. They finished hanging the pictures today, at last. Spent the evening at home, sewing &c. Apr. 24 Sun. Fixed cranberries &c. this morning. Then dismantled my room - for cleaning & papering. Lovely morning. This p.m. went down to Mae Stull's but she was sick in bed with a headache. Saw Jno, & Mrs. Wray, Theodore Wray (Challie's boy) and a Whitney boy. Jno. told me about DeGraff's trip (wedding tour) &c Edith teazed me to come in and I did for a minute or two. Then rode home. It rained. Late supper. Read upstairs - Then "bye-bye". Apr. 25 Mon. Began house cleaning today. Lunched with G.C.B. at Sibley's. Then went to Nellie's & she told me about the pleasant quarters Mary has in St. Louis &c. (21 Winderwere Place) This evening we all went to hear C.F.B. lecture at the Mechanics Institute. It was very good. Miss Stowell's class were there in a body & Mr. & Mrs. Ernest Willard &c.
