Mar. 23 Thurs. Things are a little easier but of course I'm very busy, even without J.W.C. Went home at 5:30 tho' - or rather, for a long walk up the Avenue way to the Culver Road - and thro' to the Park Ave. car home. Robins and other spring - signs. Mar. 24. Fri.

called at the office.
Rather used up today. Down at noon (went to the "Waldorf" with Gilmore and to Sibley's "Opening". It rained and was very soggy underfoot. Hamilton & Mrs. P. had "afternoon tea" (rice-cakes &c.) in Lura's this p.m. Read, upstairs most of the eve. Mar. 25 Sat. Briht sunny spring-like morning. Our neighbor Mrs. Wilcox walked down with me, she was going to the Opening of the 10-cents! but the crowd extended to the curb there! River is very high today. At 5:30 Edith stopped for me and we went over to the "Y" to the 4-leaf clover club's food sale fo the Vacation House. Had a nice chat with Helen, Bess Hutchinson & then a "Dutch Supper". Charlotte came and afterwards Lillian - Christine
"jollied" me &c. We staid till nearly 8, when the girls went to Jane Addams' lecture. Then E & I went to Scantom's - looked at Jap. goods and got a book to read tomorrow.
