Feb. 5 Sun. Coldest day (or night) of all, they say. Slept rather late. Read a good deal, "The little green God" a number of "Booklover's" Thackery's Letters &c. About 4:30 went over to Davises. Helen not home. Has decided to stay over Sunday at Mrs. Howson's. So having. a fine time &c. Mary & Nellie were there. Chattie came (she'd been down to Seneca Park with Myrtle) and we had a nice little visit and some songs (Ripley's &c.) Frank & Lilian were there a little while. Came down on the Canandaigua car. Walked from there home. Wrote and held Zozie &c. Feb 6. Mon. Edith Andrews came back on her way to college after supper we met Chattie Davis & went to Raymond " Berine

" lecture. The least interesting of all - but good pictures. Had a nice visit - walked down town with the Roger's girls was awfully sleepy. Edith intended to go on at 10:15 tonight but dreaded it so that she staid over and slept with me. She Feb 7. Tues went off this morning in a blizzard - walking down with me till the car overtook her - about Troup St. It was pleasant this noon & I went over and took pictures of Miss Dinehart's room at the Orphan Asylum. It was fine of flowers being her birthday, and "Don" tried to pose in it too - but looks like two dogs in one picture. Home tonight. I shall hate to have Miss D. and the orphans leave us.
