to the Oak Hill Club and then to the
park.
Found Edith on the Sunset Seat and had quite a visit with her -
till time for a latish supper. Then went over to the station & met
Trudy
.
Jun. 26. Sun.
Very warm lazy morning. Dusted &c. and helped
Mother -
Trudy
too. After dinner we rode out to the park. Heard the last
three numbers of the band concert and then went over by the river
and sat till quite latish, looking at the canoes &c. and walked
all the way home by the feeder road. Supper.
Jun 27. Mon.
Lovely morning. Got up early and the "children" started for the
East. Papa to N.Y.
and Manhattan Beach with the Editors and
Mother to dear Malden.
Trudy
met me at noon and we lunched at
Sibley's. Tonight I got supper. Then we
sat out doors awhile & then I taught
Trudy
"flinch" (an apt pupil, too.) Was very tired.
Jun. 28. Tues.
Early rising now day. I got breakfast.
Trudy
got lunch (good) and I got supper. We went to see
"Jessie" and Paul McAllister
in "Ingomar" tonight with Lura &
Mrs. D
and strange to say
it was fine I had never seen it before and
enjoyed it immensely. Mr. McA.
looked very handsome in the last act and very big and brawny in the
others.
Jun. 29. Wed.
Thundery today. Horrid weather this week after last! I'm so sorry,
on Mother's account.
