little party for Alice Mac at Lura's. Thelma Pierce (the little 11-year old singer) was there and sang beautifully. We played flinch and ate "mousse" and Mary's birthday cake. Alice looked pretty in her gray going-away gown. Late home. Mar. 12 Sat. Mary's birthday. Claude went to Stebbin's to dinner. The old Sibley Block (opp. the Triangle) is to come down and a new one go up and there is consternation among the commission merchants. Mar. 13 Sun. Cooked cranberries & fixed chicken today. Walked down to Edith's in the afternoon. She wasn't there, but Mae was (It's her birthday) looking pretty in blue. Went up to Con's & found Harriette

with a very bad cold - Staid to lunch and had a very good time. Told them all about the "Admirable Mr. Crichton" which Claude told me about seeing in New York. Mar. 14 Mon. Blue Monday! But the Cutler's are both away and that's some comfort. I've been having troubles with the "manager" (and getting over them, too.) Mar. 15. Tues. Lunched with Helen today at the "Y". She is far from well. Made cake at cooking school. Mar. 16. Wed.

Fine and sunny, but cold. Alice Mac's Wedding day (6 o'clock). Mother and I went to the dog show tonight & watched the Boston Terriers judged. Very interesting but I was very tired.
