July 6. Wed. Still warm & I'm still pretty tired. Trudy & I went to Char's to lunch & had a delightful time. CFB not home tonight went over to Lura's & sat on the piazza awhile. July 7. Thurs. Trudy started off for Buffalo and Niagara Falls this morning. I got to the office early & worked hard. Gilmore has gone on his vacation & I'm in charge. Everything OK, however. Spent the evening home. Mother rented her room to a young man named Rafter (on the new electric road). Moved Trudy . July 8. Fri. Another fine day. Papa went to the Hill (on a pass). Busy &c. Trudy got back tonight, rather tired. July 9. Sat. Warmer & sticky and horrid. It poured most of the afternoon some couldn't have our picnic on the Pinnacle - Sewed, talked and played Flinch. In the evening all three of us went to Lura's to a flinch (& ice cream) party. Nellie & Laura too. We had a nice time. It rained hard all the evening. July 10 Sun. We were all tired & slept late and had a very late breakfast. It was alternate rain & sunshine this a.m. but cleared off later. This p.m. we "received". Miss Harris called on Gertrude, and Lura came to supper (Laura was coming but couldn't) & Frank & Lillian afterward. Also Donald & the twins
