belonged to the Henderson party, but Mr. H

happened to see it and had it put back! We stopped at another dock further down, were a long time getting out (on account of the wind) and just beyond the rafters passed the "Germanic" coming in. When we got into the open again I went below and packed and then took a nap (I surely needed it) till Laura came to tell me she was "lonesome". About four I got up and made my toilet (all brown) and went up on to the bridge to watch for Jack's store. The light house was in sight a long time. A little girl on the bridge and the captain and I discussed a very white and pink bride and groom who got on at Byng. Also other things - more nautical. Capt. said we were coming to the most beautiful part of the whole trip ("Mandalay" and "St. Helena" no doubt) Finally we were actually past the light house - people were saying "goodbye" to us. Jack's dock was crowded. I could see Helen. I felt at home again - and when I went below and got off all my dear friends were there. Helen looked brown & fine. Christine Amos was there and Mrs. Mosher, Louise Gould(!) Mrs. Castleman & Blanch. Dr. & Mrs. Goler & Marie
