Thurs. Nov. 10 "Peruzzi" came in and helped me dress this morning. He's a nice playful little thing. While we ate breakfast in the pretty dining room, he "rocked" Above us on the bare floor - most mysteriously! It was a fine day. Tonight Edith J. came to the office and I pursuaded her to go to the Industrial School Donation with me - At Fitzhugh Hall. Mother was there and after supper we sat in the gallery and watched the dancers. Especially Miss Edna Peck (19) whose engagement has just been announced to young Jenkins (21)! Found Geo. Humphrey had been here, visiting with Papa - who has a new (?) wheel - willed to him by Con! Fri. Nov. 11 Still fine. Claude is having a lovely time in New York (with Burgess, Will Irwin &c) and I think It's doing him good to get off. He's been so busy. Read "Martyrdom of an Empress", which I find very interesting. Sat. Nov. 12 Still fine. Our Mr. Rafter (roomer) left today rather unexpectedly, following Mr. Nealon, who went yesterday because of his father's serious illness. I walked up the avenue with Florence Rogers tonight. Went to Mosher's to return the photo-book & Mr. M. lent me his films. We had some of Jim Arnold's letters to read. He sails Nov. 30 for home.
