left us before the boat sailed (at 2:30) we found
Buffalo Harbor very interesting and rather picturesque. The
people on the boat not particularly promising. Just outside the harbor we met
the "Tionesta" coming in (she's the "Japan's" big sister) It was lowery and
rather horrid and pitchy too. (I didn't mind that!) Laura
went to the stateroom to lie down and I found a nice upper deck and read.
We had a very good supper and the best looking nager
of the lot "(Kelly)" to wait. Some nice people. Mr.
& Mrs. Foster
of Pittston Pa. and Mrs. Morrow.
