June 16 Thurs.
Rather weak today, and cross, so decided I was getting better & went to
office this p.m. but it got pretty tiresome. Did go to cooking lesson at
night, as it was the last one. We had mayonnaises & ices and things. When
I got home, played flinch with Mother.
June 17. Friday.
Watch day!
Still perfect weather. Alice's circus day
(she made over $1800.00!) Mrs. Goulding's birthday and
Lou Steele's wedding day.s I bought a watch with money
Claude
gave me for my birthday. Edith was up
a little while this evening not long.
Jun. 18. Saturday.
Fine day. Fraley & Carey Co. sent up balloons with coupons on
them (the first little boy got a pair of corsets!) with varying success until
one scared a horse and he ran away and threw out his driver. Lunched at
"Lotspike's" and worked from 2 till 5:30
all alone (a half-holiday) demolishing a large pile of blanks which
accumulated while I was sick - and before. Had a bath before supper and quite
a long bicycle ride - & then went to the theatre. "Americans
Abroad", very good. Madelaine Hoyt
was there - between Jack
& John Warner - also her brother &
Mrs. Warner. Did my cash accounts when I got home.
June. 19 Sun.Fine day. Rode up to Cro'nest for a nice little visit with Claude and Char. Then
June 16 Thurs.
