Rode around via. Court & Fitzhugh & was going down to Edith's but it was rather threatening so I stopped in at the Baker Theatre and saw the last act and a half of "Fighting & 300"!! Quite blood and thundery and rather entertaining - but I had enough. It poured when it was over, but I amused myself in Scrantom's till it stopped. Then rode up Plymouth Ave. way and read & sewed till supper. Am enjoying Mrs. Ward's new story "The Marriage of Wm Ashe". Wrote all evening, except for one game of Flinch. Stanley Oliver has sent me a big picture of himself. "from far Dunedin". He's grown better looking. Ellwood Fowler (Marjorie

's brother) is dead and Hamilton says Mr. Sing isn't coming to the Pointe (Jack
says) so Mrs. Davis will be happy! June 5 Sun. Lovely day & quite warm. Claude & Char were here to breakfast and to dinner (a good one) In the (late) afternoon I went out to Helen's on my wheel (It's her last Sunday before Pointe-au-Baril) Found two YWCA girls there. The one who takes her place for the summer (a rather disagreeable girl, I thought) and another. Didn't stay very long. Stopped at Lura's & talked on the piazza with her & "Marie". Lots of mosquitoes.
