Jan 24. Tues. Taking it easy. JW. still in N.Y. Tonight wrapper, slippers & a book by the fire. Also "Flinch" Jan 25. Wed. Sibley's to lunch today. Mother actually went to the matinee "Winters's Tale". Viola Allen this p.m. I went tonight with Laura. It was fine. A big crowd. Although it was very cold Jan 26. Thurs. Still very cold but Edith and I went to "Vienna" at the East High. Also Mary & "Idy" Jan 27. Fri. Milder. Not very busy - so I staid down to lunch and went to Cook's to the matinee. The man who did a whole melodrama the "Spook minstrels" (Cinematograph) and one or two others things were very good. Tonight Lura gave a "progressive Flinch party" for Mrs. Penfield The Macs, Edith & Laura. It was quite fun. Afterward Lura made "minced oysters" (with green pepper & onions) in the chafing dish Mrs. Coe appeared at supper but not other where. Jan 28. Sat. We've taken in the DeForest
office (218) and are putting in partition for JG's(217) &c. &c. (always torn up) shopped some at 5. Home tonight. Jan 29. Sun. Cold and bracing - want over and watched the Highland Park tobagganers & this p.m. Lots of spills. A very dangerous slide for coasters but they use them some. Stopped at Amelie's a little while. Went round by Cro'nest coming back Had a bit of a chat with Claude & Char, but Mrs. Roe, Miss Smith
& another lady were there. Then came home to supper.
