3/24/04. ThursZozie came home! after a week! Lost 1 1/2 lbs off of 10
1/2! He is purring yet.
3/25/04. FriJWC has ordered a big motor car! Went
to our church to lunch with G.C.B. To the "Y" to
"Sapolic" tonight. Mary read it.
Mar. 23 Wed.
Pleasant. Met Frank &
Hamilton D. to- night.
Mother went to prayer meeting & I read.
Mar. 26 Sat.
Still moving about at the office! Cool and windy. As I left at 5
p.m. the wind took my gloves & blew them out of my hand at
Frank Decker's feet. He had just come up in a big
red auto. We had a little chat. He's a nice boy. Tonight I went to
see Willie Collier in "The Dictator" by
Dicky Davis. It was most entertaining. Started out on board
ship. The steward, & officers, & deck business being perfect. Then in a little South American
Republic - all 304 soldiers &c. &c. Walked, home with Claude in "the pale moonlight."
Mar. 27 Sun.
The river is very high. Almost a flood this morning. And snowed in
the afternoon! Went down to the "Y" this afternoon and
heard a missionary lady talk and Thelma Pierce
sing. She certainly is a little wonder!
Laura was there and we had coffee
afterwards. Then I walked up to
Lura's with Helen (after Miss Peck
had talked to me long and ernestly about coaxing
H. to go away.) We had supper
at Lura's and
Laura came in later and Helen
told us some experiences. She doesn't look well. Read till late when
I got home.
