we all made ice cream on "Wayback" side piazza. Then Frank took me fishing but assured me we'd catch nothing as it was perfectly calm. So sure enough I pulled in a muskallonge (but not a whopper) the first thing - much to Frank's amazement. We had a good time for two hours or more but that was the only bite. Mate took some pictures (some of us) and so did I - with her camera. Just as we were about to sit down to dinner a man came swimming across the lake, accompanied by a boat. Just outside he got a cramp but still kept at it. Was pretty tired when he got in a big husky fellow - quite pink and white with a badly sunburned baldspot. Then we had dinner. The Hartman's were over - the same so ever - noisy and good natured. We all sat on the piazza afterwards. I made blue prints of some pictures I took last summer with their camera. Later, read "Harpers", and toward sunset Mate, Mae and ? (the girl) and I walked 'way up to "Greene's". The road is very pretty, with glimpses of the lake thro' the trees and the hills the other side. Those hills were lovely this morning. Maxfield Parrishy - with green slopes, blue sky and puffy fairyland clouds peeping over. Mate got rather tired & we rested some time at Green's (a hotel) Then walked back, and found the Rev.
