March 15 Saturday
(14th)
This has been a hustling week for me at the office. I've hardly stopped going at all. J.G. has been away but has "kept the wires hot" as Gilmore says. Friday night we were to have had the "Perfects" ball, but Lura was sick and both Helen & Edith had colds and Charlotte, too so it was put off. I went over to Davis's tho' and we played pedro and enjoyed ourselves "quite some". Lovely Spring weather & most everyone has "Spring fever".
(9th)
Last Sunday I staid home all day, loafing, but Con had quite an experience (see clipping above). Mch. 20 Thurs Sun 16 Nothing much has happened this week. Sunday we went up to Claude's house, but it was locked and our Key didn't fit. Later Edith Andrews came over and later still, Con, and both staid to supper and as usual we were quite jolly. Wed 19th J.G. got home yesterday p.m. on the Empire and in the evening we had the postponed pedro Club at the Rogerses - Miss Scott
wasn't there & Clare
& Mr. R.
Rogers
substituted (with bad scores - but I couldn't mention it - I went down to 11th!) Today is nice & I've hustled as Mother and I am thinking again of going to Washington tomorrow! Mch. 21 Friday Busy day, of course. Met Mary
, who is thinking of going to Albany again. Came home at 5:15 after a "fond farewell" to J.G. & J.W. and had an early supper and at 7:45 Mother & I started on the Northern Central to Washington (sleeper Iliad) Claude saw us on the train
