A Mr. Fisher (who reminded us of Dr. Walker of the "Mobile") and Dr Crossen were very nice to us, both there and at the hotel dock afterwards. (They tried to call on us the next Sunday but got lost, so wrote a note instead!) We went over to McIntosh's house and left the boat (theirs) getting Helen's small one (the D.P.P. #2 - to be called "Stephanie") and rowed back to a nice supper out doors on Hamilton's rustic table on the piazza. Had a touch of neuralgia as I lay in the hammock afterwards - About the time we began thinking of bed. Oldfield's tug "hove" in sight" with my trunk and some lumber and a lot of strange people from the hotel swarmed in and gushed over the cottage & finally, when the tug insisted on their going away (by bonfire light) They gave three hearty cheers for "The Maple leaf"(!) misunderstanding Mary's "St. Helena"! Bed was welcome. July 25 Saturday We got up early this morning - 7:30 - and soon had breakfast. Mr. Sing the surveyor came and invited us to sail at 9:30. Mary and Chat said "No thank you" and Helen, Marjorie

& I "Yes, thank you" immediately. I got the posters and things out of my trunk and we put them up. The bathing girl (my Rogers booby prize) we called "Vivian" and put in our bed room. Mr. Sing and "Jim
