High School to an Alumni reception and had a fine time. A nice boy
showed
Frank Davis & me around. We ate
refreshments with Helen,
Mabel,
Mary & Ida Mac,
Clare
&c.
Mabel told me her troubles - or some
of them - about Kintergartens and music. Tried our lungs and things
in Helen's Gym and came home sometime after 11! There were numerous remarks about
the Perfects'
Ball. The High School building is fine.
Talked with the Archt.
Oct. 3. Sat.
Dear Claude left for St.
Louis tonight, to make a speech on l'art
Noveau before a convention of the Architectual
clubs.
I did very little, as usual. Eye hurt a good deal.
Oct 4. Sun.
Really felt sick today - a cold, mostly, cloudy most of the day.
Char went to
Syracuse. I went to Cro'nest
during a bit of sun to try and get some more pictures, but only
succeeded in getting one exterior which was not good, after all.
Walked over to Lura's to supper, (with
the Coe's) and then rode out to Davis's
and made rhymes for everyone of
Mr. Howson's pictures - We got quite hilarious.
Meanwhile it was very warm and there was a thunderstorm! But not
when I went home
