Dec. 28 Sunday Ever since Christmas morning it snowed and the sleighing is fine and the world beautiful. Today Trudy went to church with Mother in the morning and this p.m. we went over to see Lura's presents (she wasn't home) and then by invitation to Helen's Mary, Edith came there too - We saw their things. Charlotte's

lovely present to Helen of owl andirons &c. and we had a nice chafing dish supper from Helen's new chafing dish. Chat & I made the toast. Helen made the rabbit & we ate from Chat's new plates & with Helen's silver forks. It was a very succesful function & we talked long (Gilbert, Harris & all the Schoolites) & late enough. Frank was sick in bed, but nothing serious. Dec. 30 & 29 Tuesday Nothing special yesterday, except shopping down town & lunch all together at Sibley's - Mother, Trudy& I. To-day is dear Mother's 65th birthday. I gave her gloves, Zozie stamps & Zenda nail scissors - Trudy gave her a lovely silver fork ("Emmy Lou") and a calendar. J.G. informed
