for a canoe ride - Everything was bright and green and blue and the
cloud shadows were magnificent we passed loads of fisherman and saw
one man land a good sized bass his wife had caught - He reminded us
of Frank Macconnell. Loafed around the river till about
one - Took Con's picture off the dock
and he ours on the piazza - and I took one in the pretty little path up to
the house. Con couldn't stay to
dinner, but Edith was here and
after dinner we sat about out doors awhile and then went over to
Davis's and heard all about
Helen'sGeorgian
Bay trip and her new Island "St. Helena" and the Napoleon who arrived
there. She was very interesting and is becomingly tanned. Stopped at
Lura's as we walked down and walked
way home - to a good kitchen supper.
Aug 25 Monday to Aug 28 Thurs.
Tired today, but braced up and went this evening to "The
Strollers" with Trudy.
It was quite enter- taining for a change and we both enjoyed
it. We spent most of the week at home. It was lovely weather.
Mother and
Trudy

Miss Farmer
, Papa went to the Livingston Co.
