Stormy, but Edith Andrews came over and Con and staid to supper - Edith Joiner too, but she went home early. We had a real jolly time - tho' I did have on my old wrapper, the new one not being done! Feb. 5. Thurs. Papa and I went up in the gallery and heard Irving and Terry in "The Bells" and "Nance Oldfield" tonight and enjoyed it immensely. I feel lots more as tho' I'd seen them than I did after London. "Nance" was quaint and cute and funny and "Bells" was weird and agonizing. both beautifully staged, of course and all that. We sat back near the exit. Feb. 9 Sunday Another stormy Sunday they nearly all are lately. Mary came up and spent the p.m. with me.
