Sept. 5 Sat. Con home. Came up to see me this morning looking brown as a berry. Gave Helen her book of photographs I made for her and she was perfectly delighted with it. Some of the "force" had a half-holiday, but I staid till 4:30 and then went to Conesus via. the Erie. Mrs. Willard Rich happened to sit in the seat with me and her husband introduced us and we got quite well acquainted. She seemed very pleasant indeed - "Giles" (as Con calls him) says he met me - first at Jerry Bowles - at Conesus - that time I went with Ned and Edith & Freddie! - years ago!! The boats were crowded as well as the train - 70 on our little one Albert Hartman said (he turned up at Lakeville) It was a gorgeous night - but cold - The sun set as we went up the lake and it was very beautiful. Frank Willard & Carl were at Wilkinson's deck, with the new boat, to meet us. Supper tasted good and everyone was very
