Got a lovely - pungent odored box - inlaid - from my
"Honolulu-lady" Charlotte Steere. Shopped at
noon - about the last of it. Worked hard all evening and till after
mid-night on Trudy's collar & cuffs - green, pink & yellow - to go with
the new silk waist I have for her. Mr. Titlow
talked
with me awhile.
Dec. 22 Tues.
Had a bad cold today - and almost a chill going home tonight, but
decided to go over to the station myself, to meet Edith Andrews - who came about 9:30. Lots
of people in the station.E. and I
sat up by my fire with our nighties on a long time and talked &
read "Margaret Ogilvy" &c. E. and "Fries" have been quarreling all Fall
&c.&c. I doubt if that affair lasts. She's such a flirtatious
young thing - but so pretty and complex.
Dec. 23. Wed.Edith left this morning for home - but
I left first, for the office - "Gracie
Bugs" gave her grand luncheon today in
Lura's room - all trimmed with
