has recently noticed it in Mary,
Nellie,
Mabel, Charlotte,
Helen, May B, and I think Edith - tho' Edith is
rather sad just now because Miss
Scott has gone to live with Miss
Delate and takes her lunches with her - and not at "Lots"
as formerly, with Edith. That
means a separation probably - poor little E! Got home about 8:30. The kitty-cats were so glad
- Sleepy - I'm making up for loss of sleep at St. Helena & getting fat!
Sept. 12 Sat.
Another nice day, but warmer than yesterday. Left the office about
4, came home, took a bath and rode out to the park before five (!)
Mothercame on a car and we sat there till dark.
Cross-stiching and enjoying ourselves. Mr. Flack came by & greeted us -
then went golfing.
Sept. 13 Sun.
Bright and sun and warm - but breezy - Had a nice morning in my
room with "The Heavenly Twins" - I like it much better
than the first time I read it. Papa is
at Conesus - at
Mr. Woodworth's - to help him write up his automobile
trip of 3700 miles in
Europe this summer. After dinner
