After that - and our thoughts - had kept us awake awhile, I think we all slept some, but waked up - at 9:30, rather the worse for it. Chat was particularly knocked up - and took her breakfast on "Mt. Marie" - There wasn't much morning left, but Mrs. Howson sent over a box of candy by her nice husband, and later I went over there and put up her hammock` & did a few little odds & ends which she seemed to appreciate. Had a good dinner and was taking a bathlet and a doze and a chat with Helen in our room afterward when Hamilton called out "Here comes Jack

"! I was all dressed in my light blue flannel waist, and quite immaculate, but H. had to "wash her face" a bit (polite for panicking). We had a very jolly call on the piazza. It is quite delightful to make him laugh - and I always do if I can (it isn't hard). Chat also entertained
