and Mama went out to tea. I rode around by Davises (It was a lovely night) and staid to supper and talked "St Helena" &c. and went thro' a new house in the neighborhood and got home by eight o'clock and began packing! Sat. Aug. 30 This p.m. Trudy & I met Edith, Helen, Chat & Miss Jones

(of East Aurora) and we all went down to Windsor Beach and called on Mary, Emma & Nellie - who have a tent down there. We had a nice little visit and Mary walked down toward Summerville with us. The Lake was very still and the color of the sky. The sailboats looked very white and very large. We took the "good ship Windsor" to the other side. Edith and Chat went back to Rochester to supper, but we took the Manitou car over to the vacation house and after an inspection of the house and a long visit on the piazza, had supper (potatoe salad &c.) and a nice walk and ride back - Mrs. Crouch & two ladies (with her missed the boat and went around by way of Rochester (to Sea Breeze!) We got home quite betimes and I did cash accounts and things till time to go "bye-bye". I go tomorrow and Trudy dear stays on here till the middle or so of next week.
