Dec 25 Friday Christmas - colder and nicer - slippery and a little sun. Got up about nine. Late in the forenoon Mother and I went over to see the Twins

and their tree. They were very sweet - all in red and white - with seven dolls a piece and numerous other things. Frida, Herma & Meta were there too, of course, but the Twins were the principal attraction. Papa came home from Cro'nest - saying Char was much better and they were going to Mrs. Hoyt's to dinner and wanted us to come up tonight. After our delicious chicken dinner, I put on my wrapper and read awhile ("House on the Hudson" and "Jungle Book") and dozed by my fire with little Zendavesta. About 7 Mother and I went up and had a dear little visit at Cro'nest and at 8:30 went over to Davis's and had a jolly visit there - & saw all their presents &c. and then to Frank's (He and Lillian were at his father's when we arrived) and Mother saw the little house & so on. Then home to bed. Dec. 26 Sat. Slept fine, and felt much better - a stormy-blizzardy day - so much so
