Aug 1. Friday. The dear Boy's 36th birthday! Mother, Papa & I fitted him out with a tool box, all full - besides socks, bedding &c.&c. Charlotte is better and has been here with Mrs. Wilkinson, picking out papers and things. She is delighted with the house. I lunched with them and helped a little with the paper-selecting and called - They were at Mrs. Ives. Aug 3 Sun. Claude is in Syracuse today. And Papa and Mama at "Wayback" Conesus visiting the Willards, who were here a week or so ago, for several days. Everybody has gone away or is going. Charella & the boys are in Vermont, Claude and I dined there - at the Winsted-

last Sunday and I took a couple of pictures. The day before I went to Seneca park with the girls and saw the flamingos. Mary has been to Nantucket and back and is now sick with nervous prostration! Helen Davis is up in Georgian Bay with the Moshers and Miss Blackall
is at Herron's Island, Casco Bay, and Gilmore has been at Ogunquit a couple of weeks and liked it immensely. Flack started yesterday for a trip by water to N.Y. and Boston and
