I didn't get in while they paddled 'round collecting lilies (loads of
them) but explored the island for mink &c. It's great fun,
exploring desert islands. After awhile they came out with a load of
lilies.

with one blue foot and one black one (but still with a sweet
smile) and I got in and he sasked which foot mine was - I said "Right" and he said
his was "left" and he was sorry for me!
Helen told him he looked sorry - So he allowed me to steer off into the
wilderness toward the west and circle desert isles to my heart's content
(once
I ran them on a rock) and then suggested I didn't know the way to
my Mandalay! But I suggested I
did, and started (and got there too, awhile later). On the way he
told us the difference between ravens & crows (Likely story! They
are ravens when they stay North in winter!)
and about a tame one that went fishing with him(!!) and other wierd
tales. He also invited us home to tea with him, but instead I did
get them to Mandalay and they
got off and liked it and I gave him the hunting
privilege for a year (and Helen
