A gorgeous day but quite cool. Hustled in the morning, of course,
went to Harned's for a cup of coffee
and then to the 1:45 train to Conesus -
Mother saw me off and Edith came around too. "Mart" Siemer and her baby come on and
went up on the boat with me to the place where "Art
" was stopping - "Min" was along, too, and
I took their picture as they struck the dock. Also snapped Eagle
Point
and the Gilmores going up the dock.
There was a big salt worker's picnic at Eagle
Long Point and we didn't get up to "Greene's"
(Excelsior Spring House) till about 4 - There a young
lady fell into the lake, trying to get into a rowboat and it was
really quite exciting - Poor thing, she was well - but thinly-
dressed and soaked, of course. Charles
rode up on his wheel and Mr.
Willard rowed up in a boat for me and we got back to
find Mate, Dem,
Mrs. A.O.
, May, and Mrs. Labeautoux on the
piazza and Mannin ap- peared immediately. The cottage
is very pleasant and pretty. We sat on the piazza awhile. And walked
about to look at things and had an early and very
