moonlight row. The moon was simply glorious and we rowed up and down its
wake and thro' narrow channels and out into the channel. Hamilton said he had half-an-hour's talk
with Mr. Hartley today, about Ned and me and old times at Stony
Lake. He said he was going to Byng
Inlet
for a few days (till Saturday) and would then call on me. Of course
H. told him that would be too
late, but asked him to call just the same. He is to preach again next
Sunday.
H. liked him very much. When we got in,
everyone had gone to bed - (Helen
in the sitting-room) and I slid in at once - but it was a long wakeful
night. Even Hamilton whispered thro'
the partition, once, "Go to sleep" - but I don't think he did either
- I don't understand not sleeping better here.

Cloudy. I was sorry for I wanted some pictures I couldn't get -

Helena (I tried) Mr. D.
etc. Only took two-one the house from the "Stephanie". and one of
Mr. Davis with his famous
"nightcap". which he wears constantly (night and
day, I think.) About 10:30 we went sailing for two
