we saw Mabel and Claire Rogers as we came out. Did a little shopping afterwards. Con's gone to Buffalo today and dear Claude to Syracuse this p.m. James' uncle died this week after long suffering. This morning the Park Avenue Hotel in N.Y. burned up and sixteen were killed. Horror after horror lately.

Last night Mary, Nellie and Edith came up and played pedro. We had a real jolly time, too. Today I went over to Meta's at noon and had coffee and "Küchen" - Mother dear has been making comfortables. Such pretty ones - for Charlotte and Claude. She has great fun doing them! Mar. 8 Sat. It seems a long time since I wrote last - tho' I don't know why it should.

The Sunday after I wrote last I went over and called on Edith Andrews walking as far as the church with Edith Joiner who staid here to dinner after a little journey up to Claude's house - I didn't stay long at E.'s, but then went up to Davis's to supper and had a real good time with them.
