the first night and Zenda the second. Saturday they
purred all the day long - they were so happy. Miss
Fisher & Mary helped
Mrs. Armstrong sell tickets &c.
Miss F
's waif kitten "Christmas" got first in its class
& a five dollar gold piece for the "best short- haired Kitten"
(the only one!). Got ac- quainted with
Mrs. Lane, a charming little lady from
Chicago who judged our cats. Had ice cream
& things &
put in her St. Bernard "Dane" but didn't get anything, as
I tho't she would. Frank Davis's
"Sandy" didn't get anything, either, but there were 24 collies in!
"Ramsdell's pup "Doty" got a
second, Mrs. Jenning's bull dog a lot of things &
Mrs. Armstrong's collie "Laddie" and Gordon
setter "Captain" both got something or other - I went
3/11
round with Chat Wednesday night
Miss Scott & Miss
Forbes were there too - & Frank
of course & Mrs. Hertzberger with
her toy Yorkshire terrier in a blue blanket with a pocket in it
& a little pocket- handkerchief!
