It was a gray morning, but cleared later, and got quite rough. We slicked up generally for the guests (put Helen's peanut candy up beside her looking-glass &c.) and H. made custards & got the escalloped tomatoes ready and Hamilton cleaned the Howson's bass & Chat and I were to begin getting dinner when we heard the boat whistle for the Pointe
