dinner Papa and I went over to
Davis's and Papa invited Chat to go to "Everyman". The manager sent
him some tickets in acknowledgement of his sonnet on the subject.
Harry Gould was there, and Lura, and
Frank took us thro' his house - a
little two-by-four affair - but very nice for him and Lillian. The closets are niches in the wall
and the "reception hall" you can hardly turn around in, but the
veiws are lovely and I am sure they will be happy there. Walked down
stopping at Con's (but they weren't
home) & thro' Oxford &
Goodman to the
University car. Was about dead with
neuralgia when I got home and it affected my heart, so I
made my will (see last page) but at supper in a big fussy wrapper -
by the fire and with Zozie in my lap, I got warmed up
and stopped it or it stopped - so I could read and write.
Oct 27 Mon.Chat went with Papa to "Everyman" tonight and enjoyed it
hugely. I went to cooking school. We made mashed potatoe and drawn
butter sauce and steamed fish and it was really quite delicious.
