Siam is to be launched across the way todaymorrow and Kath
has been trying to get him toCharlotte to invite him to "a
native wedding"! Of course everybody joked about it and most of them
were very witty. Mr.
& Mrs. Fowler
("Fanny Vann") whom I met when I was here before, and
at whose house Claude is staying,
called after dinner. We had a long chat in the library and all went,
early to bed - Kath & Jo tried on their white dresses for the wedding. I
slept in Kath's corner room.

My Claude's Wedding Day.
Charlotte came and called me
at seven looking, oh, so bright and happy! We had breakfast (all but
Henry & Fred) at half past - Then the library
was cleared out - The lights were settled about. The presents were ar-
ranged and re-arranged (I must get the list I helped make for
Charlotte, to put in here) the
rooms were trimmed by the florist,
Harry and his many assistants.
Mrs. Fowler came - and flowers galore and
the express man with seven packages and the postman with many letters and
a reporter excited about the Prince across the way. It
was a bright, sunny, beautiful
